All About The 2022 NHL All-Star Weekend
Welcome to the Topic ” All You Need to Know About The 2022 NHL All-Star Weekend “
The NHL All-Star Game will be played in Las Vegas for the first time. As such, it’s only fitting that the League has added two new events to the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, giving Friday night a Vegas flair.
The Vegas Golden Knights will host the NHL’s brightest talents at T-Mobile Arena for the first time during the 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend. On Friday, February 4, the 2022 NHL All-Star Skills Presented by DraftKings Sportsbook will showcase players’ speed, ability, accuracy, and physical strength. Honda NHL All-Star will take place on February 5, 2022, and will feature the League’s top players in a fast-paced three-game, 3-on-3 event.
Along with the traditional competitions at T-Mobile Arena, the NHL announced the addition of its first-ever outdoor All-Star Game skills competitions: The NHL Fountain Face-Off will take place at the Bellagio’s Fountains. In contrast, the Las Vegas NHL 21 in ’22 skills competition will shut down a portion of Las Vegas Boulevard.
The Fountain Face-off is one of seven activities taking place at T-Mobile Arena and other iconic places throughout the city as part of the All-Star Skills (7:30 p.m. ET; ESPN, SN, TVAS), which precedes Saturday’s 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Game at T-Mobile Arena (3 p.m. ET; ABC, SN, TVAS). The new event will be held in Bellagio’s famous Fountains and will include competitors being transported by boat to a “rink” where they will attempt to fire pucks into five targets in the shortest amount of time. The NHL 21 event will be themed around blackjack, with players shooting pucks at a giant deck of playing cards.
While the Fountain Face-lineup Off’s is unknown, Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson, a three-time Olympic medalist for the United States women’s hockey team, will be one of the eight contestants. She has never competed in an NHL All-Star game previously.
Best of the NHL All-Star Game
This season, the NHL will deliver sensory kits to the 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend in cooperation with The Assist and Dunkin’! Paige Dowd and Kodette LaBarbera, two other hockey spouses who wanted to make hockey more accessible to all fans, founded The Assist in 2021. Their combined personal and educational backgrounds, including autism and sensory requirements, were excellent.
The sensory package was developed specifically to counteract the stimulation generated by hockey games. The kit includes products that help minimize stimulation, such as 3M Your Ears Rock headphones and sunglasses made in Minnesota and goods that aid in self-regulation, such as fidget toys, squishy pucks, and coloring activities. Additionally, there is a social story inside that contains an outline of a hockey game to prepare kids for what is to come and a special present from Dunkin’!
Additionally, partners can invite their VIPs to the All-Star experience. This might range from complimentary game tickets to a meet-and-greet with a top-performing dealer. The hockey business will take place away from the spotlight. All-Star Weekend is in some ways similar to the NHL’s convention — although in person for the first time in two years.
